Wharton Leadership Expedition to Ecuador, March, 2002

On behalf of the community of Yambiro, I wish to thank you all profoundly for the contribution of children's clothing.  The small community of Yambiro, located about five miles from Otavalo, Ecuador, is one of the very poorest in the area.  By donating this clothing, you folks have relieved some of the economic pressures these folks live with.  From the community of Yambiro and from those of us at their side, we are most eternally grateful! -- Frank M. The donated children's clothing was presented to the Sra. Presidenta of the community to distribute as she saw fit.  She decided to divide it up between the 89 members of the community.  Each family received 3 or 4 pieces.
