Michael Useem is Professor Emeritus of Management and Director of the Center for Leadership and Change Management and Faculty Director of the McNulty Leadership Program at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.  His university teaching includes MBA and executive-MBA courses on management and leadership, and he offers programs on leadership and governance for managers in the United States, Asia, Europe, and Latin America.  He works on leadership development with many companies and organizations in the private, public and non-profit sectors.  He is the author of The Leader’s Checklist, The Leadership Moment, Executive Defense, Investor Capitalism, Leading Up, and The Go Point.  He is also co-author and co-editor of Learning from Catastrophes; co-author of The India Way, Leadership Dispatches, Boards That Lead, and The Strategic Leader’s Roadmap; and co-author of Fortune Makers: The Leaders Creating China’s Great Global Companies (2017), Go Long: Why Long-Term Thinking Is Your Best Short-Term Strategy (2018), and Mastering Catastrophic Risk: How Companies Are Coping with Disruption (2018). Jeff is the Executive Director of the Anne and John McNulty Leadership Program at The Wharton School and a Lecturer at Wharton and the School of Social Policy and Practice at the University of Pennsylvania. As Executive Director, Jeff leads the team that designs and delivers Wharton’s portfolio of curricular and co-curricular leadership development initiatives for undergraduate, MBA, and executive audiences.  He also directs the School’s efforts to create the Penn Global Leadership Institute. 

Jeff is also a founding member of the Penn Athletics Wharton Leadership Academy, working with Penn’s student athletes and coaches, as well as the Lipman Family Prize, a philanthropic prize that has distributed more than $2.3 million to exemplary civil society organizations around the world over the past 10 years. Jeff is the Executive Director of the Advanced Management Program, Wharton’s flagship 5-week program for senior executives.  Jeff’s work with managers and executives, in partnership with the Aresty Institute for Executive Education, also includes Creating and Leading High Performing Teams and The Adaptable Leader:  Strategies for the Emerging Leader.

He has worked with a variety of corporate, nonprofit, and governmental clients, including Alcoa, AXA, Breakthrough, the City of Philadelphia, Deloitte, the Estee Lauder Companies, the Fire Department of New York (FDNY), FINRA, Google, iDE, Komaza, Merrill Lynch, the Mt. Rainier Institute, the National Outdoor Leadership School, Novartis, Novo Nordisk, the Opportunity Finance Network, the Philadelphia Eagles, Tokio Marine, Toyota, the United Nations, Vanguard, Vertical, and the World Economic Forum. Jeff is an honors graduate from Penn State University (BA, BS) and the Wharton School (MBA), and has recently earned his Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Penn’s Graduate School of Education. 

Prior to his career as an educator, he spent 10 years in corporate finance with AT&T and its cable unit, AT&T Broadband, as the Executive Director of Financial Planning and Analysis and the CFO of the cable telephony product line. Throughout his life and career, Jeff has grown his appreciation for authentic and accountable leadership and a willingness to learn through action and reflection.  Jeff’s partner in life is Heidi, an accomplished educator and a wonderful wife; they have two kind and curious children, Samantha and Jakob.  Jeff loves the outdoors, live music, his family and friends, and Philadelphia.

Anne M. Greenhalgh is Deputy Executive Director of the Anne and John McNulty Leadership Program where she serves as chief operating officer.  As adjunct professor of management, Anne co-leads the gateway course for Wharton freshmen — WH101:  Business and You — and supervises the design and delivery of co-curricular programming that supports the new academic requirement, The Leadership Journey.

She was once voted the Best Lecturer in the Social Sciences by the entire student body at Penn.  She has won the William G. Whitney Teaching Award for Associated Faculty at Wharton on numerous occasions.  In 2019, she was one of the recipients of the Wharton Teaching Excellence Award.   As a Visiting Professor at City University, London, Anne was a member of the Vice Chancellor’s senior management team and laid the foundation for the University’s learning and teaching strategy.

At Wharton Executive Education, she has facilitated sessions for a number of programs, including the China Advanced Management Program (CHAMP), the Security Industry Institute (SII), and the Management Development Program.  Along with Jeff Klein and Mike Useem, Anne is co-host of “Leadership in Action” on SXM Business Radio. Anne’s research and publications reflect her dedication to leadership and management education, especially at the undergraduate level.

Umi Howard

Umi joined the Wharton School in 2011 to establish and serve as Director of the Lipman Family Prize, an annual global competition that celebrates leadership and innovation in the social sector with a dual emphasis on impact and the transferability of practice.

Since January 2019, he has served as Senior Director of the McNulty Leadership Program. There, he is responsible for oversight of the organization’s strategy development and revenue generation work, executed in partnership with Wharton Executive Education, Wharton External Affairs, faculty partners, major donors, and other key stakeholder groups. He also leads MLP’s portfolio of civic leadership programs. A Lecturer at Wharton’s Management Department, he has taught a graduate level course on social impact interventions.

Prior to joining Wharton, Umi spent fifteen years working in a variety of roles, including running a social enterprise, organizational consulting, curriculum design and instruction and philanthropic administrator. For nearly two decades, Umi has served on nonprofit boards and advisory groups focused on social justice and diversity, equity and inclusion issues. His current work in that arena includes a signature initiative at MLP, sponsored by Deloitte, combining original research and program development to improve team inclusiveness.  Umi is a graduate of Vassar College and received his Master’s from the University of Pennsylvania’s Graduate School of Education.

Ariana Alexander

Ariana Alexander (she/her) is the Associate Director for the Executive Coaching and Feedback Program. Prior to joining McNulty, she served for four years as an Associate Director with the Graduate & Professional School Advising Team in the Office of Career Services at Penn, advising Penn undergraduates and alumni pursuing law school and medical school. She joins McNulty with 9+ years professional experience in program development, project management, student success coaching, and academic advising.

She earned her BA from Dartmouth College, majoring in English and ethnic studies, and a Ph.D. from New York University in history. With a passion for learning, she is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Organizational Dynamics at Penn. She enjoys empowering individuals to navigate the next steps in their graduate and professional careers. Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, she is an advocate for local libraries, loves traveling, and enjoys spending time with her dog, Flash.

Wilma Alomar-Arroyo

Wilma Arroyo is the Office Manager with ten years of experience in the education industry. Wilma coordinates finance and operations for the McNulty Leadership Program. Wilma specializes in administrative technology such as ZenDesk, BEN Financials, CampusGroups, and Asana.

Before joining Wharton, Wilma worked at the University of Pennsylvania as a temporary employee. For seventeen years, she worked at the Delaware Investments (aka Lincoln Financial Group), where she managed a team of seven retirement administrators, collaborated with marketing retirement products, was involved with the annual tax reporting for retirement products, and handled ERISA and legal transactions for several retirement vehicles.

Wilma also served as a Spanish Translator for The Philadelphia Family Court (summer of 2006), preparing victims for their court hearings, volunteering at the Philadelphia VIP as paralegal and translator, and translating for attorneys and immigration clients with the Philadelphia Bar Association.

A native of Puerto Rico, raised in Philadelphia, and attended Pierce College for higher education, receiving her Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies. She completed her Masters of Science in Legal Studies in the year 2016. Wilma is a powerful force in the workplace and uses her positive attitude and tireless energy to encourage others to work hard and succeed.

Brigitte Benecke

Brigitte is the Associate Director for Management 6100 and joined the McNulty Leadership team in 2023. She manages all aspects of planning, operations, and delivery for MGMT 6100: Foundations of Teamwork and Leadership and the Wharton Teamwork and Leadership Simulation.

Before joining the McNulty Leadership team, she worked for six years as House Coordinator at Ware College House at Penn, where she enjoyed building community among the students. Prior to moving to Philadelphia, she taught English to business professionals in Seoul, South Korea, and she has traveled extensively in Europe and Asia. She enjoys singing and creating electronic music, and tries to catch live music performances in Philadelphia when she can.

Garlen Capita
Associate Director, Community Engagement

Garlen is the Associate Director of Community Engagement overseeing  both the Nonprofit Board Program and the Nonprofit Board Fellows Program. She comes to Wharton with over two decades of professional experience as an urban and landscape designer. She worked most recently as a Senior Associate with WRT a planning and design firm based in Philadelphia. In her role, she led multidisciplinary teams on integrated planning and place-based design interventions that catalyzed investments in housing, mixed-use development, sustainable infrastructure and vibrant public spaces. During her time there, she routinely led community engagement efforts to inform the planning and implementation of these large-scale design projects.

Garlen taught graduate urban design studios as part of the Stuart Weitzman School of Design, where she now serves as a board member of PennPraxis. For the past five years, she has served on the Philadelphia City Planning Commission. She has also served as the board chair of Germantown United CDC.  A graduate of Cornell and UC Berkeley, Ms. Capita resides in Philadelphia with her son, Chenzi and when she’s not ferrying him around, she enjoys running along the City’s beautiful trail system.

Ciara Clarkin

Ciara is our Program Coordinator, Community Engagement and assists Garlen Capita in the Nonprofit Board Fellows Program. She is a graduate of the University of Delaware, where she obtained a degree in International Relations and Public Policy. Her previous work experience includes coordinating student-facing programs at the Northeastern University Global Experience Office in Madrid, Spain, as well as supporting programming and orientation for prospective and current students at the University of Delaware Center for Global Programs. Prior to joining our team, Ciara worked with Cornerstone West CDC in Wilmington, Delaware, with a diverse audience further cultivating her passion for community engagement.

Ciara has recently relocated to Philadelphia and is eager to join new organizations to continue her dedication to service. In her spare time, she enjoys video gaming and reading, and she has just finished rereading The Hunger Games Trilogy as she settles into her new apartment.

Tia joined the Leadership Program team in September 2010 as Coordinator for Wharton Leadership Ventures.  Currently, Tia assists with managing the financial logistics within the McNulty program as a Financial Coordinator. 

Prior to coming to Wharton, Tia spent three years as an Academic Coordinator at Drexel University’s College of Medicine, Biomedical Graduate Studies and also served as an Administrative Assistant at Girard College, a private boarding school in Philadelphia for students grades 1 through 12.

Earlier in her career, Tia served as the front line at Wharton’s MBA Program Office for four years, greeting and supporting Wharton’s graduate population and providing a friendly face for new and current students. Tia is a Philadelphia native and a dedicated Eagles fan, who loves spending time with her family and friends.

Kate FitzGerald
Director, Marketing and Communications

Kate is the Director of Marketing & Communications for the McNulty Leadership Program and has been with Wharton since 2007. Kate is responsible for all marketing and communications activities across the Center,  McNulty Leadership Program, and the Lipman Family Prize. This includes development and implementation of a strategic marketing plan and overall brand identity.  She oversees the ongoing maintenance of multiple media channels, including the Center and Program websites, the McNulty Leadership and Lipman Prize social media presences and the photography and video creation needed to promote the brand and programs..

Kate holds a B.A. in Communications from the University of San Diego and an M.A. in Marketing and Advertising from Emerson College. She is graduating in May of 2020 with a Masters in Science of Organizational Dynamics from the University of Pennsylvania. Kate comes from a 20+ year career in corporate marketing, with a focus on identity branding and messaging. Prior to coming back to her home base of Philadelphia, she spent several years living in Europe and Asia. Kate lives outside of Philadelphia and cherishes her time with her two children, Erin and Brendan.  In her “free time”, Kate is an avid runner, having completed five marathons and many sprint triathlons.


Emily Gunther

Emily serves as an Associate Director for Wharton’s People Lab and women’s leadership initiatives. Previously, she was the Manager for the Nonprofit Board Fellows program and civic initiatives within the McNulty Leadership Program. Prior to Wharton, Emily spent over 10 years working at the intersection of sustainable agriculture, public health, and specialty food where she worked in nonprofit, small business and government settings. In her quest to understand and improve our food system, Emily farmed, bought, sold, imported, and worked on public policy for food and agriculture. She received her BA from Hamilton College and a MA from Temple University. She is delighted by gardening, cooking, and the great outdoors.


Chris Julien
Associate Director, Data and Evaluation

Chris Julien works within both the McNulty Leadership Program and People Lab, coupling precision with a passion for people. He loves utilizing the social sciences of psychology and sociology through methods such as surveys, interviews, and machine learning to learn more about persons and people, individuals and society, to bring about a more reflective, compassionate, humble, and considerate world. Chris was born and raised in Philadelphia. Some of his fondest memories growing up include his time singing with the Philadelphia Boys’ Choir and Chorale, through which he went on four tours, including China & South Korea; Italy & France; Norway, Denmark, & Iceland; and Argentina & Uruguay.

Chris earned his BA in Religious Studies from Grove City College, his MA in Sociology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and his dual PhD in Sociology and Social Data Analytics from the Pennsylvania State University. Throughout his academic career, he has investigated the communities that flourish within various digital social media, such as Imgur, Twitter, and Reddit.

When Chris isn’t laboring toward unraveling myriad data mysteries, you can find him reading fantasy novels, playing video games, or snuggling his cats.

Amelia Kaselaan

Amelia graduated cum laude from Rutgers Camden, School of Business with a BS in Marketing and graduated with honors from the Business Leadership Development Program (BLDP). In April 2013, she was recognized as one of “Philly’s Future” outstanding marketing professionals by the Philly Ad Club, which awarded scholarships to 10 college students studying advertising and communications. Her passion for serving others has guided her career and led her to join the team at Wharton.

Before joining the McNulty Leadership Program, Amelia worked in both corporate and non-profit organizations beginning her career at Subaru of America, Inc. headquarters in their Marketing and Advertising department, and transitioning to the non-profit sector working at small to medium sized organizations in both Camden and Philadelphia serving youth and families.

As part of the Leadership & Development team at MLP, Amelia is responsible for the management and delivery of P3 Programming; and supporting William P. Lauder Wharton Leadership Fellows.

As a Jersey girl who is always finding her way back over the bridge to Philly, when she’s not on campus you can find Amelia spending time outdoors with her family and dogs, enjoying cooking and eating good food, and following wherever her creative instincts take her.

Gwendolyn McDay is a collaborative leader energized by developing vibrant, self-reflective and high-performing teams. As Director of the William P. Lauder Wharton Leadership Fellows, Gwendolyn engages stakeholders at every level and across silos to operationalize cutting-edge leadership content into experiential learning and service opportunities for Wharton MBA students.

Gwendolyn has over a decade of strategy and operations experience working for multi-national chemical companies as well as a stint with Deloitte’s chemicals and industrials practice. She ardently believes environmental sustainability will soon be the driver of innovation in how we build and our world. Career highlights include:

  • Responsible for the P&L of 4 chemical product lines with $20M in annual sales throughout the USA and Canada, growing margin 22% while hiring a sales and marketing team and optimizing the supply chain for 35 SKUs manufactured across 3 facilities in Europe;
  • Managed markets ranging from agrochemicals and pharma to cleaning and renewable energy;
  • Voted winner of the Arkema Arena Award Peoples’ Choice award when, after facing negative EBIDTA trajectory at a domestic production site, she facilitated a plant consolidation and resource migration to 2 other business units. Executing to plan in just 90 days, this effort retained jobs, repurposed assets, enabled repatriation of 12M pounds of resin production and saved $6M in stranded costs and greenfield construction;
  • Supervised staff of 16 in operation of hazardous waste incinerator, wastewater treatment facility, and steam production for an 80-acre chemical plant, ensuring compliance with all state and federal EPA regulations for on- and off-site hazardous waste handling and disposal.

Gwendolyn has developed an economic development strategy for The Cleveland Foundation and sat on multiple non-profit boards. She holds a BS in Environmental Engineering Sciences from Yale University and an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where she loved serving as a Leadership Fellow.

Euria Min
Director, Lipman Family Prize

Euria is the Director of the Barry & Marie Lipman Family Prize and Lipman Fellows Program. She oversees the strategy and execution of the annual global social impact competition and partnerships with the wide Lipman Prize community of honorees organizations, nonprofit partners, philanthropic partners, reviewers and selection committee and steering committee members, fellow alumni, and University partners. She also leads the interdisciplinary year-long Lipman Fellows program which engages graduate students from across the University in a learning community immersed in the social sector through the philanthropic process, and in their individual leadership development.

Euria previously served as the Director of Operations for the Fels Institute of Government, Penn’s Master of Public Administration program. Prior to that role, she served as the Director of Operations for the Robert. A. Fox Leadership Program in the School of Arts & Sciences at Penn, helping students identify, develop, and apply their unique skills and passion through developmental research or public service fellowship opportunities and learning trips, both domestically and internationally.

Euria graduated summa cum laude from UCLA with a B.A. in Communication Studies and minor in Global Studies, and received her Master’s in Public Administration from Cal State Long Beach. Euria grew up in Chicago and Los Angeles, and now calls Philadelphia home. She aims to be active in the Philadelphia community with her broad range of interests and passions, and has engaged in various volunteer capacities such as serving as judge of elections for her neighborhood polling place, an associate board member for Covenant House PA, community panelist with the district attorney’s office juvenile justice diversion program, and the American Red Cross disaster action response team. She also currently serves as a deaconess at her church in Chinatown. Euria currently lives in the East Kensington neighborhood with her husband, daughter, and rambunctious cat.

Tunisia Meek
Program Manager, Lipman Family Prize

Tunisia co-manages the logistics and operations for the Lipman Family Prize and Lipman Fellows Program. Prior to joining Wharton, Tunisia worked at the United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey, where she provided administrative and operational support for the Education Team in the Impact Department, reviewed grant applications and handled reporting.  She also served as a Special Projects Coordinator at The Philadelphia Tribune where she co-run special events.

Born and raised in West Philadelphia, Tunisia stayed in her hometown for higher education receiving her Bachelor’s degree in English from Temple University. She is a founding Steering Committee member of the Philadelphia Black Giving Circle and hopes to continue her professional journey along the philanthropic path.

Erica Montemayor

Erica is Associate Director for Wharton Leadership Ventures and manages the Undergraduate Ventures and oversees the training and development of the Venture Fellows. 

Erica joined the McNulty Leadership Program in November 2016 after working extensively with Outward Bound across the US. She has a vast array of outdoor and leadership experience from her former roles as field instructor, facilitator and staff trainer.  She is passionate about experiential education and helping students and teams discover themselves in unique environments.

Erica holds a BA in Psychology from West Chester University, a Masters in Organizational Dynamics from the University of Pennsylvania and is currently pursuing a doctorate in Human Development from Fielding Graduate University.

Maria Montgomery
Program Coordinator, People Lab

Maria is the Program Coordinator at Wharton’s People Lab, where she applies her passion for blending technology and workplace dynamics. Born and raised in Philadelphia, she is an alumna of the George Washington University with a Bachelor’s in Organizational Sciences. She also holds a Master’s in Applied Intelligence from Georgetown University.

Before joining MLP, Maria applied her keen ethnographic curiosity and research skills as a research assistant to an Industrial/Organizational psychologist. Additionally, Maria is deeply committed to her community, volunteering with Lost Dreams on Canvas, a Philadelphia initiative that confronts violence against children through a traveling portrait exhibition. Her dedication to making a difference also led her to serve as a case manager and evacuation analyst for Task Force Afghani Freedom, orchestrating critical missions to ensure the safety of families and assets amidst the challenges of Kabul.

Maria’s thirst for knowledge coupled with her insight into organizational and individual behaviors, drives her both professionally and personally. When not engaged in her multifaceted career, she indulges in her love for cinema, embracing her role as an avid film enthusiast and critic. Her journey reflects a commitment to lifelong learning.

Prior to joining the Wharton Leadership Program, Megan served as the Director on the Open Enrollment team at The Wharton School’s Aresty Institute of Executive Education. Her responsibilities included the design, development, marketing, implementation and evaluation of a portfolio of executive education programs.

Megan graduated from Mount St. Mary’s College with a B.S. in Business Marketing.  She grew up in Vineland, NJ and currently lives in South Jersey with her husband, and their four children.

Nox is a Program Coordinator for our undergraduate programs and supporting the MGMT 6100 course. Nox has just graduated from Wharton undergraduate, where they served as a Wharton 1010 TA for three years, including leadership roles as a Section Head and Head TA.

In recognition of their exceptional service to Wharton, Nox was awarded the prestigious “Dean’s Award for Service to Wharton” this graduation year.  Nox’s contributions to bringing ASL education to Wharton as a language study were particularly noteworthy and played a significant role in earning them this designation.

Jules Roy

Jules is Director of Wharton Leadership Ventures and is the principal manager of Graduate Ventures and the Venture Fellow Development Program. He facilitates relationships with a variety of partner organizations around the world.

Jules joined the Leadership Program in March of 2015 directly after finishing a 22 year career as an Air Force Pararescue Jumper (PJ). He served in most conflicts from the mid-90s to 2015 and has led teams to locate and rescue or recover isolated personnel in highly contentious regions and often in the face of extreme environmental circumstances.

Jules holds a B.S. from the State University of New York with a capstone study in experiential education and a Masters in Organizational Dynamics from The University of Pennsylvania. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Organizational Leadership at The Chicago School.

Eden Sabala
Associate Director of Events

Eden Sabala serves as the Associate Director of Events and supports the McNulty Leadership Program in various capacities. She is charged with the oversight for the Authors@Wharton speaker series, conferences, and other high-profile events sponsored by the McNulty Leadership Program, Lipman Family Prize, and Center for Leadership and Change Management. Eden has over 14 years of experience in event and program management in various university settings, from weekly yoga and meditation sessions to presidential campaigns to rock concerts to high-profile speakers.

Prior to Wharton, Eden has recently served as the Assistant Director of Events at the University of Denver’s Graduate School of Social Work, Special Events Manager at Rockefeller Memorial Chapel at the University of Chicago, and Events Manager at the Hopkins Center for the Arts at Dartmouth College.

Eden holds a master’s degree in Public Administration and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Illinois at Chicago. When she is not managing events and programs, you can find her volunteering at local festivals, hiking outside, seeking out coffee shops, or curling (yes, that sport). Recently, she was invited to join the Young Friends Advisory Committee at Opera Philadelphia.

Caitlin Satterfield

Caitlin is the People Lab Director, where she enables personal development by connecting research, practice, and education on a digital platform. Since joining the Wharton School in 2018, she held roles as the Business Administrator for Wharton People Analytics, the Behavior Change for Good, and Wharton Sports Business initiatives and then served as the Associate Director of Digital and Data Operations for Wharton People Analytics.

Before her time at Wharton, Caitlin spent eight years at GE Transportation, where she held various roles in operations, supply chain, and product management, with a strong focus on international locomotives. Her passion lies at the intersection of product management, positive psychology, and personal growth.

Caitlin holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering, with a minor in Engineering Leadership Development, from Pennsylvania State University. She also earned a Master’s in Applied Positive Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania. Additionally, Caitlin is a certified yoga instructor and is currently pursuing her coaching certification. Originally from Pittsburgh, she now resides in Philadelphia with her husband and son.

Jess develops and leads our strategic planning process and serves as the lead administrator for the Emotions Research initiative led by Sigal Barsade. Jess is also a core team member of the Advanced Management Program, where she focuses on the pre- and post- program participant experience, and will be the liaison between Executive Education and the Wharton Leadership Program supporting all aspects of the partnership.

Prior to coming to Wharton, Jess served as the Assistant Director of External Relations for the Division of Business Services at Penn. She graduated magna cum laude from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a B.S. in Marketing and earned her master’s in Higher Education Management from Penn’s Graduate School of Education in 2008 after a career change from healthcare marketing and consulting.  Jess grew up just outside of Pittsburgh and currently lives in Jenkintown with her husband, Brandon and their daughter, Ella and Molly.

Samantha Stahl
Director, Executive Coaching and Feedback Program (ECFP)

Samantha is the Director of the Executive Coaching and Feedback Program (ECFP). She is responsible for the design, delivery, and execution. She leads the strategic efforts of this program, impacting brand management, and visioning of the Program. Other responsibilities include leadership development strategy and coordination with the Wharton Executive MBA audience, assessment maintenance and integration, and stakeholder management of all audience groups including undergraduates, full-time MBA, executive MBA, executives, UPenn healthcare leaders, and faculty.

Samantha is a graduate of Susquehanna University and is currently pursuing her Master of Science in Organizational Dynamics from the University of Pennsylvania. She lives outside of Philadelphia with her husband Chris, and two lovable and wildly energetic kids, Foster & Myron.

Kellie Vetter
Program Coordinator, Wharton Leadership Ventures

Kellie is Program Coordinator for Wharton Leadership Ventures. She coordinates operations of the Wharton Leadership Ventures (expeditions and intensive offerings), graduate and undergraduate Venture Fellows, creates and implements registration and payment database, organizes event planning and logistics, and provides foundational and stewardship support for the program’s budget.

Previously, Kellie served as an executive assistant and most recently as business administrator for Penn Athletics, managing the transactional activity for the Division of Recreation and Intercollegiate Athletics, facilitating purchases, reimbursements, budget reconciliations and more. Inspired from her career as an athlete and advocate (rugby), her work in Penn Athletics included a passion and leadership position as the NCAA Athletics and Diversity Designee (ADID) tasked to increase diversity, equity, and inclusion across Ivy League athletics.

Kellie holds a Master’s in Public Administration with a Graduate Certificate in Sport Management and Athletics from West Chester University and a B.S. in kinesiology and exercise science from Penn State University. Kellie resides in Bryn Mawr, PA with her wife, Whitney, son August, and pup, Baxter.

Amanda Zimmerman
Director, Undergraduate Leadership Development

Amanda Zimmerman is dedicated to empowering individuals to reach their potential through self-discovery and maximizing their strengths. Coming from a background in leadership development, she believes that everyone can be a successful leader.

Amanda is responsible for creating and delivering the co-curricular experiences and learning programs for the undergraduate audience at Wharton. These programs provide opportunities for students to recognize and develop the skills to enhance their leadership potential. She leads the development and management of the Wharton 1010 TA community, a team-based learning opportunity and mentorship role for undergraduate students. In addition, she is responsible for developing relationships with regional organizations and local Penn partners to cultivate case studies for the Wharton 101 student team projects.

Amanda has been developing leaders in higher education for over 13 years. She joined the McNulty Leadership Program in 2014 as the Associate Director for the Leadership Fellows program, where she led the team-based learning opportunity and mentorship program for MBA students. Prior to joining Wharton, Amanda worked at McCombs School of Business at UT Austin, where she ​managed the operations, admissions, and advising for a leading entrepreneurship graduate degree program. Erica holds a BA in Communications from Penn State University and a Masters in Organizational Dynamics from the University of Pennsylvania, with a concentration in Executive Coaching and Organizational Consulting. Amanda spends her free time watching baseball, exploring the outdoors, and spending quality time with her family.
